1970 HONDA 600N SEDAN

1970 Honda N600
ID# AN600-1019980
This California / Nevada car was completely restored in 2004 - 2005. The car won best Honda at the first Japanese classic car show in October of 2005. It was previously on display at the Petersen Museum for their Micro Car Exhibit in 2008.
In 1969, the N600 became the first Honda car sold in the United States. Initially, it was only exported to Hawaii but shipments to the mainland began later that same year. While the sedan was sold in Japan with a 354cc engine, export cars were given a more power air-cooled, two-cylinder, 598cc engine with horsepower ratings ranging from 36 to 45. The N600 was designed to be a four passenger vehicle, but rear seat and trunk space was limited, and the car was tiny compared to U.S. standards. Production of the N600 ceased in 1972, shortly after the debut of the Z600 Coupe.
