1958 CADILLAC COUPE DEVILLE
1958 Cadillac Coupe deVille
Chassis Number: 58J088228
Cadillacs were heavily face lifted for 1958 in a manner typical of GM that year. Forecasting the future, DeVille became a 62 sub-series for '58, and pillared sedans were temporarily eliminated. Cadillacs for 1958 were basically carryover models with a facelift on all but the Brougham. There was a new grille featuring multiple round "cleats" at the intersection of horizontal and vertical members. The grille insert was wider and the bumper guards were
positioned lower to the parking lamps. New quad (dual) headlamps were seen throughout all lines and small chrome fins decorated front fenders. Tailfins were a bit less pronounced and trim attachments were revised. This car is powered by its original 365 V8 and automatic transmission which is as strong as the day it was purchased. This car is also optioned with power steering, brakes, seats and windows, aftermarket air conditioning and new Firestone
P235/75 R15 radial tires. The interior appears to be totally original and is immaculate considering it is well over 50 years old! The odometer is currently reading 48,242 which appears to be original.
