1955 MG TF 1500 ROADSTER

1955 MG TF 1500 Roadster
Chassis Number: TF8092
9,000 Original Miles!
63 Horsepower, 90.9 cubic-inch displacement inline four cylinder engine, 4-speed manual transmission and a 94 inch wheelbase. Few automobiles have enjoyed the popularity of the MG roadster. In the early 1950's, MG was responsible than any other make for introducing the joys of traditional sports car touring to an eager American population. Throughout its long history, the marque has been known for its octagonal symbol with the two letters in it. The MG TF was produced from the fall of 1953 until the spring of 1955 and was the last traditional model before the more modern MGA for 1956. The TF features headlamps that are flared into the fenders and a smaller grille than its predecessors. The example here features the larger 1500 engine that was introduced for the 1955 model year. The title, odometer and condition indicate that this vehicle has traveled 9,195 miles since new! This car was part of the world famous Harrah's collection at one time. It is a Western car that is totally rust and rot free. This car has recently gone through mechanical servicing and is running and driving very well. The valve lash has been set. The water pump, fan belt and lower hoses have been replaced. It features stainless steel exhaust. This quintessential British roadster would be a fun addition to any collection.
