This is the 1st of 2 Silver Cloud I Coupes built by James Young coachbuilders. This extremely low mileage example is equipped with many unique accessories, including an illuminating pre-war Lalique crystal hood ornament. The car was bought new by Rudolph Light of Nashville, TN. The car was then sold to New York plastic surgeon and Rolls-Royce enthusiast, Dr. Samuel L. Scher. After his retirement to Palm Beach, Florida the car was sold to his neighbor. The car was then purchased by Richard Gorman of Miami, Florida who in turn sold it to the Blackhawk Collection in 2000. In original condition and having been re-painted once, this is one of the finest examples of a special coachwork Silver Cloud I in existence.
